Description
Medium sized spiders, males up to 8.71 mm long (females larger - up to 11.94 mm). The thigh of the first pair of legs is 6 times longer than the cephalothorax. The main color is yellowish with a grayish-white pattern (cephalothorax, legs and chelicerales are pale yellow). Similar to Hypochilus pococki . The species Hypochilus coylei was first described in 1987 by the American arachnologist Norman Platnik ( Norman I. Platnick ; p. 1951; American Museum of Natural History , Manhattan , New York , USA ). The taxon Hypochilus coylei is included in the genus Hypochilus . The species name H. coylei is given in honor of the American arachnologist Frederick A. Coyle (Dr. Frederick A. Coyle , Western Carolina University) [2] [1] .
