PSL ( rum. P uşcă S emiautomată cu L unetă model 1974 ) - a Romanian- made self-loading sniper rifle . Commercial versions of this rifle are known under the designations PSL-54C , Romak III , FPK , FPK Dragunov and SSG-97 ( German: Scharfschützengewehr - 1997 ). Despite the apparent resemblance to the Soviet SVD rifle, the weapon design is based on the PKK .

Content
Design
The PSL sniper rifle, like the AK itself, uses gas exhaust automation with a long stroke of the gas piston (in the SVD automatic equipment with a short stroke is used) and a rotary shutter with two combat stops. The design of the receiver is borrowed from the PKK. The receiver is stamped.
