Aris Aziz ( Malaysian. Aris Aziz ); ( January 27, 1951 , Taiping, Perak ) - Malaysian artist. He graduated from an Islamic college, where he studied in an art circle. He began to earn a living by painting while living in Singapore (1968-1973).

After moving to Kuala Lumpur, he worked for an insurance company. In 1978, he left the company and became a "street artist", exhibiting his work at the walls of the National Art Gallery. He was noticed by Seyid Ahmad Jamal (b. 1932), an artist and journalist, future gallery director (1983-1991), who wrote several friendly articles about Aris in the local press [1] .
Since 1979 participates in various art exhibitions. In 1984, he first exhibited at the National Art Gallery. Currently works in a studio (“corner”) in the Bazaar of Arts in Kuala Lumpur. He especially succeeds in graphics and portraiture. Among the recognized works is a series of portraits of National Writers of Malaysia . In Russia, with his illustrations, a book of poems by Taufik Ismail “Rendezvous” [2] was published.
