Biography
In 1938 he played for the Indonesian club Hercules Batavia [1] .
He played for the Dutch East Indies . In 1938, Johannes Christoffel van Mastenbruck , head coach of the national team, challenged Zomers to the World Cup , which took place in France and became the first world championship for the Dutch East Indies and Indonesia in history. At the tournament, the team played one game in the 1/8 final, in which it lost to the future finalist of the Hungarian tournament (6: 0). Somers took part in this match [2] .
