About the album
25 is the group's last officially published compilation, since A-ha, after the release of the studio album Foot of the Mountain, in 2009 announced a breakup [3] [4] . The album contains both well-known hits and exclusive remixes to the singles of the group [2] . Also, it included a new song, “ Butterfly, Butterfly (The Last Hurrah), ” which became a single and released on July 5 for digital download . The premiere of the song, the author of which was Paul Vector-Savoy , took place on June 14, 2010 [1] . 25 was published on two discs with which a DVD publication was attached [5] . The Japanese version of the album is different from the original release: there are tracks “Rolling Thunder”, “And You Tell Me”, “Living a Boy's Adventure Tale”, “Out of Blue Comes Green”, “Here I Stand and Face the Rain”, “The Weight of the Wind”, “Waiting for Her” [6] .
Allmusic website reviewer Steven Thomas Erlevine gave a positive review to the album. He considered that the collection released for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the band’s existence on the stage would not be suitable for an ordinary listener. He suggested that those who expected only one “ Take on Me ” on the album would probably be surprised, since the collection with 39 songs is quite comprehensive. In addition, the reviewer added that for loyal fans of A-ha, 25 would be a great gift [2] .
