Biography
Mikhail Vasilievich Solovyov was born on October 12, 1918 in the repair of Mureyevo, now Kiknursky District, Kirov Region, to a peasant family. Russian. He graduated from junior high school. In 1934, the family moved to live in the village of Mokhovoye, Novosibirsk Region . There M.V. Solovyov worked as an accountant on a collective farm. In the army - since September 1939. He participated in the Great Patriotic War from September 1941. He fought near Leningrad , in Belarus, Poland, Germany. He was the party organizer of the battalion of the 177th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 60th Guards Rifle Division of the 5th Strike Army (1st Belorussian Front).
Feat
Guard Lieutenant M.V. Soloviev distinguished himself in the battles for Berlin. On April 23, 1945, when an assault group led by M.V. Solovyov, after an artillery rampart, launched an attack and advanced one and a half kilometers in the vicinity of the village of Hellersdorf (the city of Lichtenberg , a suburb of Berlin ), it was stopped by powerful enemy fire. The Nazis launched a counterattack, throwing forward tanks and infantry. M. V. Solovyov was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield. Caught in the enemy’s ring, MV Solovyov blew himself up and several Nazis with the last grenade.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946 for exemplary fulfillment of command assignments in the struggle against Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism shown to Mikhail Vasilievich Solovyov, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal [1 ] .
