Stream - a river in Ukraine , the left tributary of the river Ros . It begins in the Vasilkovsky district near the village of Maryanovka . It flows through the Vasilkovsky and Belotserkovsky districts of the Kiev region .

Description
The river valley is trough-shaped, the width of which is up to 2 km, the depth is 20 m. The floodplain is up to 100 m. The channel is winding, 0.4-0.6 m deep, 10 m in the lower reaches. Rainfall nutrition. The flow is partially regulated [1] . The river flow rate is 35.2 million m³, the drain of dry years with 75 and 95% coverage is 22.3 and 12 million m³, respectively.

Current status
Currently, the river is polluted by human activities. The total β-radioactivity of the ducts is 92–95 Bq / L, which is significantly lower than the indicator of the Ros River (151–156 Bq / L) [2] .
Historical background
In written sources, until the end of the 19th century, it was mentioned under the name Rotok , which gave the name to the whole historical area of Belaya. Ancient Rusich called this river the name of Ruth . It was in the tract near Ruta in 1511 that a large detachment of Tatars was defeated by the combined Russian-Lithuanian forces. For a long time this event was considered the first victory over the Tatars , due to the fact that a typo was made in the book of legends about the localities of the Kiev province and instead of “1511”, “1311” was printed [3] . This caused a number of misunderstandings - this date was indicated even in dissertations and textbooks on local history of Porosye.
Interesting Facts
The river gave the name of the locality in the east of the White Church - Rotok and the railway station of the same name .
