Club career

A pupil of the football school of the club " Julianova ". He began his professional football career in 1972 in the main team of the same club, having spent two seasons there, taking part in only 45 championship matches. Subsequently, from 1974 to 1977 he played in the clubs " Milan " and " Rimini ".

His game for the last team attracted the attention of the representatives of the coaching staff of the Roma club, which he joined in 1977. He played for the “wolves” for the next thirteen seasons of his playing career. As part of Roma, he was the main goalkeeper of the team, as he was distinguished by extremely high reliability, missing an average of less than one goal per match in championship games. Playing for “Roma” he won the title of champion of Italy , and 4 times became the owner of the Cup of Italy .

He completed his professional playing career at the Torino club, for which he played for 1990-1991.

International Career

In 1984 he made his debut in official matches as part of the Italian national team . As part of the team, he was a participant in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
