Biography
Valery Rylov was born on September 30, 1919 in the city of Yaransk . Since 1936 he lived in the Turkmen SSR , graduated from high school there. He studied at the Faculty of Biology of Molotov State University , graduated from three of his courses.
In September 1941, Rylov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since the summer of 1942 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .
By June 1944, Guard Sergeant Valery Rylov commanded the communications company of the 201st Guards Rifle Regiment of the 67th Guards Rifle Division of the 6th Guards Army of the 1st Baltic Front .
He distinguished himself during the liberation of the Vitebsk region of the Byelorussian SSR . On June 24, 1944, Rylov was among the first to cross the Western Dvina in the area of the village of Bui, the Beshenkovichi district, and laid the line of communication between the bridgehead and the regiment command, after which he maintained its uninterrupted operation, quickly eliminating impulses on the line, was wounded, but continued to carry out his task. July 16, 1944 Rylov died in battle. He was buried in the village of Rimsha, Ignalina region of Lithuania [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 22, 1944, for sergeant Valery Rylov, he was posthumously awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union for "exemplary execution of command assignments and the courage and heroism shown in battles with the German invaders." He was also posthumously awarded the Order of Lenin [1] .
In honor of Rylov, a street was named in Turkmenbashi , Dukshtas and Karabogaz , a bust was installed in Karabogaz [1] .
