Prokalotermes hagenii (lat.) Is a fossil species of termites of the genus Prokalotermes (family Kalotermitidae ). Found in the Eocene sediments of Florissant ( USA , Colorado ). The age of the find is about 35 million years. One of the ancient types of termites ^[1] ^[2] .

Description

Medium sized termites. Fore wing length 15.5 mm, body size 12.0 × 2.1 mm. View of Prokalotermes Hageni was first described in 1883, by Samuel Hubbard, Scudder and others. Among the synonyms: Parotermes hagenii , Prokalotermes hageni . Sister taxa: Prokalotermes alderensis Lewis 1977 , Kalotermes , Electrotermes ^[1] ^[3] ^[2] ^[4] .
