The Botanical Garden of Rouen ( fr. Jardin des plantes de Rouen ) is a botanical garden located in the French city of Rouen , south of the River Seine . The garden is open for free access.

Living garden collections contain 5600 species of plants spread over an area of 10 ha, of which 8.5 ha are available to the general public. The garden has a unique collection of fuchsias , which has 991 species and variety; This collection fund in France has been awarded the status of “National Collection” [1] .
Garden Description
A great perspective of the park runs from the Great Greenhouse to Place des Martyrs-de-la-Résistance . A large floral arrangement in the shape of a butterfly is arranged on one side of the central alley.
The pavilion was built at the beginning of the XVIII century and up to the present time temporary exhibitions are being held in it.
The construction of the greenhouse was completed in 1896.
In the rose garden, covering an area of 670 m², research is being conducted on a variety of subspecies of roses , as well as their demonstration to the public. In particular, rose varieties obtained by Norman gardeners are presented here.
The central greenhouse of the botanical garden was built in 1839-1842 at the beginning of the central alley, and in 1975 it was classified as a national historical monument [2] . In 1999, it was restored. In the western part of the park are tropical greenhouses (1936–1938), as well as seven greenhouses (1883–1884), including a greenhouse with palm trees.
Plant Collections
The collection of the Rouen Botanical Garden includes roses , dahlias , fuchsias (over 1000 taxa ), rhododendrons , irises and daylilies , a variety of medicinal and aromatic plants.

In the house of the botanical garden you can see budgies, painted quails , golden pheasants , etc.
