Ismagil Galeevich Gainutdinov ( Tat. Ismugyil Gali uly Gainetdinov ; February 10, 1908-1977) - Soviet architect , professor of the Moscow Architectural Institute, public figure. Honored Artist of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and the North Ossetian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . First Secretary of the Tatar Branch of the Union of Architects of the USSR (1934-1936).

The author of the project of the building of the Tatar Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Kazan (1933-1956, together with the architect Skvortsov), co-author of the monument projects to N. I. Biography

in 1924-1927 studied at the seven-year school number 2 of the city of Chelyabinsk .

In 1927 he entered the Kazan Industrial College, transformed in 1930 into the Kazan Institute of Public Utilities Engineers (KIIKS, now Kazan Civil Engineering Institute ). He graduated in 1931, receiving a diploma in civil engineering.

For several years he worked at construction sites of Kazan as a foreman. Then he entered as an assistant at the Department of Architecture, KIIKS. In 1937, he entered the postgraduate course of the Academy of Architecture of the USSR, where he worked under the guidance of prominent Soviet architects, academicians A.V. Shusev, I.V. Zholtovsky, E.E. Lansere, V.N. Semenov.

Having defended his thesis in 1939 and obtained the degree of candidate of architecture, until 1949 he continued to engage in scientific work at the Institute of Urban Planning of the USSR Academy of Architecture.

In 1949-1977 he taught at the Moscow Architectural Institute, at the same time conducted research in the field of Tatar national architecture and the great creative work of the designer. In 1967 he was awarded the title of professor.

As the founder of the scientific study of the architectural heritage of Tatarstan, he widely uses progressive national traditions in his works.

I. G. Gainutdinov also proved to be a talented architect in the construction of monuments and monuments. Together with the famous sculptor V. I. Mukhina, he participated in the creation of the monument twice to the Hero of the Soviet Union N. G. Stolyarov in Kazan. Together with the sculptor S. D. Tavasiev, he created the monuments to Kost Khetagurov in the city of Ordzhonikidze and Salavat Yulaev in the city of Ufa
