Biography
In 1897 he graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Warsaw .
He worked as head of the mineralogy office at the University of Warsaw (1898–1912), as head of the department of pharmaceutical chemistry (1912–1920).
In 1897 he became a candidate of natural sciences, assistant professor (1908), doctor of mineralogy and doctor of geognosy (1912), professor (1912).
Founder and head of the Department of Crystallography (1920-1936), part-time dean of the Faculty of Philosophy (1920-1921) of the University of Lviv , in 1936-1945 - Head of the Department of Mineralogy and Petrography of the University of Warsaw.
Scientific Activities
Areas of research: general and experimental mineralogy, growth crystallography ; study of aluminosilicates , pegmatization of granites , isomorphism .
He discovered and described a primitive ( tetrahedral ) form of a tetragonal system using the example of calcium aluminosilicate synthesized by him.
Author of about 160 scientific works, among them 9 books, monographs and textbooks. Prepared 2 professors.
