Biography
Nikita Rusin was born on March 25, 1915 in the village of Gorodetskoe (now Skopinsky District, Ryazan Region ). After graduating from seven classes of school he worked as a combine. In 1937, Rusin was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . He participated in the battles of the Soviet-Finnish war, being a tank driver of the 85th separate tank battalion of the 39th separate light tank brigade of the 13th army [1] .
On December 15 - 16, 1939, the crew of Rusin successfully destroyed the Finnish pillbox, and then, breaking into the enemy's position, destroyed an anti-tank gun, several firing points and a large number of Finnish soldiers and officers [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 26, 1940, Red Army officer Nikita Rusin was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star Medal " Number 219 [1] .
Participated in the battles of World War II. After her graduation continued to serve in the Soviet Army. In 1956, the rank of Major Rusin was dismissed. He lived and worked in Podolsk . Died May 7, 1997 , buried in the Podolsky cemetery "Red Hill" [1] .
Freeman Stupino . He was also awarded the Order of the Red Banner , World War 1-st degree and the Red Star , along with a number of medals [1] .
A school in Podolsk is named after Rusin.
