History

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F.F. Schubert in 1834, the village of Purovo is mentioned [2] .

PUROVO - the village belongs to Captain Ilyin, Lieutenant Colonel Sarycheva and clerk Unkovsky, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 24 m., 16 w. p. [3] (1838)

On the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852, the village of Purovo is marked [4] .

PUROVA - a village of different owners, on a country road, the number of yards - 7, the number of souls - 30 m. [5] (1856)


PUROVA - the owner's village at the wells, the number of yards - 10, the number of inhabitants: 37 m., 40 w. P.; Orthodox chapel [6] . (1862 year)

In 1866-1867, temporarily liable peasants of the village bought their land allotments from A. A. Ilyin and became the owners of the land [7] .

According to the statistics on the national economy of the Novoladozhsky district of 1891, the wasteland in the village of Purovo with an area of ​​147 acres belonged to the nobles V.A. and N.A. Nevelsky, the wasteland was acquired before 1868. In addition, one of the estates in the village of Purovo with an area of ​​223 tithes belonged to the tradesman B. N. Tsetlev, the estate was acquired in 1876 for 700 rubles; another estate, in the villages of Purovo and Kipuya , belonged to the merchant, MF Spirova, the estate was acquired until 1868 [8] .

In the 19th century, the village administratively belonged to the Pesotsky volost of the 1st camp of the Novoladozh district of St. Petersburg province, and in the early 20th century to the 4th camp.

From 1917 to 1923, the village of Purovo was part of the Palsky Village Council of the Pesotsky Volost of Novoladozh County.

Geography

The village is located in the western part of the district.

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 36 km [17] .

To the north of the village is the Volkhovstroy I - Mga railway line and there is a stopping point, a 106 km platform.

The distance to the nearest railway station Pupyshevo is 5 km [12] .
