The Beatles Version
The group recorded their version of the song for the BBC Pop Go The Beatles radio show. The recording took place on August 1, 1964 at the Playhouse Theater , Manchester [2] . Broadcast transmission took place on August 27. Subsequently, this record was published as part of the album Live at the BBC (1994) [2] .
In the Beatles version, the song is a rare vocal duet by McCartney (who also played the bass guitar) and Harrison (in addition to the vocal part, he also performed the part of the solo guitar); besides them, Lennon (rhythm guitar part) and Starr (drums) also participated in the recording [2] .
