[ description? ]
Zela ( Greek. Τά Ζήλα, Ζήλα , now known as tour. Zile ) - a fortress inside the Pontic kingdom , at a distance of four reinforced daytime crossings south-east of Amasya .
Zela lay on a dais, some considered artificial. From Pompey, she received the status of a city. Here was the famous sanctuary of the Iranian goddess of nature and fertility Anahitida with a large staff of temple ministers and priests.
Under Zele, Mithridates won the victory over the Triarius ( 67 BC ) and Caesar over Farnac ( 47 BC ; it refers to the famous dictum: Latin Veni, vidi, vici ; see Battle of Zele ).
