Manor Kulikovskikh (house with Atlantes) - the building of the city manor in Kherson, st. Suvorov, 8. Monument of local architecture.
Description
At the entrance to the courtyard through the central entrance arch of the house, sculptural images of two Atlanteans are installed, bearing a balcony.
Outwardly, the whole group and stucco work have remained unchanged since the construction of the house, but they are in a very neglected form and have lost their former splendor. Moreover, an extension of the cafe bar appeared out of place, but on the sides of the facade there were different doors, which in appearance and design did not fit in with the appearance of the building.
History
The estate was built at the end of the 19th century. The architect of the house is unknown.
Until 1905, the estate belonged to the Odessa Board of the Bessarabian-Tauride Land Bank.
in 1905, a prominent Kherson notary, a vowel of the City Duma, a nobleman Yu. P. Kulikovsky on the security of the property of his wife E. L. Kulikovskaya.
After the revolution, the Kherson Agency of the Donetsk State Coal Trust (Donugol) was located here.
It is known that in the 20s there was a hostel of the flight school.
