Biography
Club career
He began his professional career in his homeland in 1995 at the Etoile Filant club from the capital of Togo Lome. He has been a member of the team for four years. In 1999, he joined the Ghanaian Asante Kotoko from Kumasi . He played in the team for three years and together with the club won the Ghana Cup 2001 , became the silver medalist of the Ghana Championship 2001 and reached the final of the KAF Cup Winners Cup 2002 .
In 2002, he moved to the Ivorian " Africa Sport " from Abidjan, where he played for two years. In the 2003/04 season, he signed a contract with Saudi Al-Hilal from Riyadh. In early 2004, went on a semi-annual lease to the Belgian Beringen-Heusden-Zolder , which at the end of the season took the penultimate 17th place in the Belgian championship and flew to the Second Division . After returning to Al-Hilal, he twice won the Cup of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia , the champion and silver medalist of the Saudi championship.
In 2006, he became a player in the Iranian Abumoslem , who played in the Iranian championship . As part of the team, he spent 43 matches and scored 1 goal. In the summer of 2008 he moved to Tehran Persepolis , playing 9 games for the team. The last club of his career was Esteglal Ahvaz , in which he played 24 matches and scored 1 goal.
Team Career
In the national team of Togo debuted in 1996. Member of the African Cup of Nations 2000 , which took place in Ghana and Nigeria. Nibombe was declared under number 14. Togo took the last 4 place in its group, losing to Côte d'Ivoire , Ghana and Cameroon , and left the tournament. At the tournament, he spent 2 matches [2] .
At the end of May 2006, Otto Pfister , head coach of the national team, challenged Atsu to the 2006 World Cup in Germany, which became Togo’s first world championship in history [3] .
