Geography
The village is located in the south of the Belgorod region on the banks of the Nezhegol River. About 10 kilometers to the border with Ukraine, 18 kilometers to the Shebekino district center.
History
The village is first mentioned in the scribal books for the year 1669. Initially, Kozmodemyanovka was named Neklyudov in honor of Colonel Kozma Borisovich Neklyudov, who bought these lands in 1710 and settled them with serfs from the tribal estates of his father in the Penza province. After a time, a church was built in the village in the name of the Holy Unmercenaries of Cosmas and Damian , from which the present name Kozmodemyanovki came.
In the 1900s, there were 1,151 people in the village, cultivating the land was carried out without any agricultural rules, so the yields were low, the peasants went bankrupt and were looking for a new way to earn money: they had to go to the mines or become farm laborers. In 1917, the life of the peasants changed: the power in the village changed several times. In 1930 the Victory collective farm was organized. In 1941, many went to the front, and immediately after the war in the village they began to prepare for spring sowing: they collected manure, droppings in the yards, and since many huts were burned or collapsed, people had to dig dugouts. Since 1947, the school has had self-made diaries, so school performance was one of the best in the area, and in 1964 a new school building was built with the help of a collective farm. Over time, the Victory collective farm united in the collective farm "Leninsky Way". Thanks to the Leninsky collective farm, a cattle-breeding farm, a small pigsty, a stable appeared in the village, and in the mid-1980s a new dairy farm and a kindergarten appeared in the village, and a whole street of houses was built at the expense of the collective farm.
