Club career
Born June 2, 1993 in Perth. Pupil " Perth Glory ."
In professional football, he made his debut on December 18, 2010, when he joined the Perth Glory to play with Brisbane Roar . The match ended in a draw 1: 1 [2] . He spent two seasons at the club, taking part in only 10 championship matches, scoring the only goal against the Gold Coast United [3] .
He joined the Newcastle United Jets club on March 2, 2012 [4] , where he began to play in tandem with the famous English striker Emil Heskey [5] . In the 2013/14 season with 16 goals (including a hat-trick in the game with Melbourne Hart ) he became the top scorer of the Australian championship , thanks to which he was recognized as the best young player in the A-League and was included in the symbolic national team of the championship [6] . For the team from the Australian Newcastle played 44 matches in the national championship.
In June 2014, he signed a three-year contract with the English Fulham [7] [8] , but the injury delayed his debut in the first team for several months. On September 1, 2015, Taggart was leased until January 2016 to the Scottish Premier League club Dundee United [9] .
On January 26, 2016, Taggart left Britain to join his first club, Perth Glory. [10] However, he did not have the right to play for Glory until next season due to FIFA rules , which limit to two the number of clubs for which a player can play for one season [11] . In the first game of the 2016/17 season against Central Coast Mariners , Taggart entered the field as a center forward, scoring twice in the first half. Leading after the first half with the score 3: 0, “Glory” squandered the advantage, and as a result the match ended in a draw 3: 3 [12] .
On May 1, 2018, Brisbane Roar announced the signing of a contract with Taggart, the previous contract of the football player with Perth Glory expired. He signed an agreement for two years [13] . On February 14, 2019, Brisbane Roar announced that Taggart had agreed to move to one of the Asian clubs [14] .
On February 18, 2019, Taggart signed a contract with Suwon Samsung Bluewings for an unnamed amount. [15] Taggart made his debut on March 1, 2019 in a match against Ulsan Hyundai , he came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute, but could not help the club avoid a defeat with a score 2: 1.

Since 2011, he has been involved in Australia national teams of different ages.
On December 3, 2012 he made his debut in official matches with the Australian national team in the qualifying match for the East Asian Football Championship against the Hong Kong national team (1: 0), in the 70th minute he replaced Archie Thompson . And six days later, in a match against Taiwan, Taggart scored a double, contributing to Australia's crushing victory with a score of 8: 0.
In 2014, he fell into the application of the national team for the World Cup in Brazil .
