Biography
She was born in the family of engineer Alibek Selimovich Selimov (1902-1976), a native of the village of Akhty of Lezgi origin, a graduate of the Baku Institute of Oil and Chemistry [1] , and doctor Anna Moiseevna Korenman, a native of Odessa , of Jewish origin, a graduate of the Baku Medical Institute . [2] In 1962 she graduated from the philological faculty of Baku State University , in 1967 - the faculty of dramatic directing of the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (now RGISI ).
She taught at the Kinoaktor studio at the Cinema Union of the Azerbaijan SSR . In 1967-1992 - Director of the Russian Drama Theater. Samed Vurgun (in 1981-1992 - the main director), then worked as the main director in the Musical Comedy Theater , married his director Gazanfar Topchuev (1929-2005).
Founder and artistic director of the Baku Chamber Theater (1991). [3] She also performed a number of productions at the State Theater of Musical Comedy, the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater , the Theater of Young Spectators , and the Sumgait State Drama Theater. [4] Professor of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts .
Family
- The elder brother, Musabek Selimov (1929-1944), died of neglected appendicitis .
