Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Chaly ( Ukrainian: Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Chaly ; born April 3, 1954 , Vinnitsa ) is a Ukrainian diplomat and official. Former First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs , former Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine .

Career

In 1977 - 1984 - assistant, senior lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Kiev National University. T. Shevchenko.

In 1984 - 1987 - professor at the School of Law of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau .

In 1987 - 1989 - Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor of the Law Faculty of Kiev National University. T. Shevchenko.

In 1989 - 1993 - Associate Professor, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law for Science, Kiev National University. T. Shevchenko.

From February 16 to March 22, 1993 - First Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine .

From March 22, 1993 to May 12, 1995 - Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

In 1993 - 1995 - member of the board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, head of the Ukrainian delegation at negotiations with Russia and Romania on the conclusion of basic political agreements.

From May 12, 1995 to July 2, 1998 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Romania.

From July 2, 1998 to January 8, 2001 - First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine , member of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From January 8 to August 21, 2001 - First Deputy Minister - Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe , member of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From August to December 7, 2001 - Secretary of State for European Integration, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe.

From July 2001 to July 2003 - State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European Integration.

From July 2003 to May 2004 - First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for European Integration.

From September 2006 to September 2008 - Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine .

He has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine .

He speaks English , Russian and Portuguese .

Awards and honors

Honored Lawyer of Ukraine (2002) [1] . Cavalier of the Order of Merit II (2007) [2] and III (1997) [3] degrees.
