Azaran Blbul

Azaran Blbul , Zahi Avk-Armenian (Զաղի Հավք) also Azaribbul , Plpul ( Armenian Հազարան Բլբուլ-Հայ. (Զաղի Հավք) , the letters. “ Thousand- voiced nightingale” ) - in Armenian mythology a fire-bird that symbolizes nature, symbolizes nature beauty, justice and harmony.

In fact, in Armenian mythology, Azaran Blbul is an analogue of the phoenix bird.

This little bird with bright plumage always sang the loudest. From the magical voice of Azaran Blbul, animals cursed by cahards (witches) were revived, and the dried gardens, mountains and valleys were covered with lush vegetation. Azaran Blbul did not start chicks, was the only one on earth and did not have her own kind.

When Azaran Blbul lived to old age and began to feel her approaching death, she arranged a nest of rare plants that were dry and easily ignited. At the time of death, the bird, along with the nest, burned to the ground, after which a small lump formed from the warm ashes, and a chick grew up, similar to the former Azaran Blbul.

The ancient Armenians believed that where Azaran Blbul sings, there is always wealth, happiness and love. No one dared to offend or catch Azaran Blbul, because if you scare the bird away, it will leave the flowering valley forever and no forces can return it to the foothills of Ararat
