AKSM-221

AKSM-221 - a biaxial low-floor trolleybus manufactured by Belkommunmash . When assembling a trolley bus, the MAZ-103 bus car kit is used, in addition, the cars are unified by many nodes. The AKSM-221 trolleybus is equipped with a thyristor-pulse control system ( TISU ). The trolleybus is equipped with an electronic display and route indicator and autoinformer.

AKSM-221 was produced in 2003-2010, a total of 169 vehicles were produced, all delivered to Minsk . In 2007-2010, the second batch of cars was produced: 105 trolleybuses were delivered to Minsk and 21 to Brest .

General Description

 

The AKSM-221 trolleybus is almost completely unified with the Belarusian MAZ-103 bus. Its body and dimensions remain unchanged - the trolley has a length of 12.2 meters, a width of 2.52 meters and a height of 3.24 meters. The trolleybus body is similar to the MAZ-103 body; it has a wagon layout, bearing, with rounded sidewalls and a frame base.

The front part is made of fiberglass, vertically divided into three sections, equipped with a welded bumper with an additional rubber coating. Single headlights, large, unified with MAZ-103. The sides are made of seamless steel or galvanized sheet with a thickness of 0.9 mm, as a rule they are coated with fiberglass. The back of the trolleybus is made of fiberglass and contains side lights and taillights, the roof is made of galvanized steel sheet. The set of electrical equipment is fully handed over to the roof, thus the trolleybus has increased insulation and control safety.

The body has increased resistance to corrosion. Protection is applied to the body, axles, wheel rims and most of the metal parts. Corrosion-resistant coating from the company R - M (France). Significantly increased resource of the body and chassis - at least 10 years of service.

The flooring is made of bakelizirovannogo plywood or linoleum, in places of greatest stress upholstered with aluminum and aluminum profiles. The sides inside are sheathed with fiberglass or ordinary plastic, coated with a corrosion-resistant coating. The seats in the trolleybus are soft, of a separate type, covered with easily cleanable fabric, and can be a half-bucket type. Total seats 25 pieces.

The trolleybus is equipped with one assembly platform, which is equipped with equipment for transporting people with disabilities, including an additional retractable ramp that extends from under the middle doors. The railing is vertical (installed in assembly areas and at the door) and horizontal - located along the entire cabin on the right and left sides, equipped with leather handles.

Double-leaf doors, rotary-sliding type, low noise, open with an electric air drive. Also, the doors are equipped with anti-jamming mechanisms and blocking movement with the doors open. Side windows with a thickness of 4-5 millimeters are tinted with green or black film. The total capacity of the trolley bus with a full load of 108 people.

The driver’s cab is separated from the passenger compartment by a partition, has separate doors from the outside (front wing 1 of the door) and inside. The cabin is equipped with all necessary items in an emergency, for example, an additional trolleybus control system that helps to find a breakdown, there is also a first-aid kit, a fire extinguisher, and it is possible to install additional equipment. The control panel is made of fiberglass, the electrical equipment is completely on the roof. There are anti-fog and freeze windshield. The windshield is colorless, curved, divided in two, lever wipers, constructed of metal and plastic, are very durable.

The set of traction electrical equipment is thyristor-pulse, the interior and doors are electrically insulated, the body insulation is made with increased safety measures, for example, the cable trap are covered with two layers of insulation, and the equipment is sealed.
