Gomez, Madeleine-Angelique de

Madeleine Angelique de Gomez ( French Madeleine Angélique de Gomez ), nee Poisson ( Poisson ; November 22, 1684 , Paris - December 28, 1770 , Saint-Germain-en-Le ) - French writer, popular in Russia in the years 1760-1790 and known as Madame Gomets or Madame Gomets . She wrote a huge number of tragedies, short stories, gallant stories without a certain style, but witty and full of lively imagination [3] .

Biography

From the acting family: the granddaughter of Belrosh , a contemporary of Moliere , and the daughter of comedian Paul Poisson . Her brothers Philippe (1682-1743) and Francois ( François Poisson ; 1696-1753) were also actors.

She married a poor Spanish nobleman named Don Gabriel de Gomez. She signed all of her published works as Madame Gomez (Gomez).
