Physical Properties

Copper (II) arsenate forms blue-green crystals of several modifications:

  • monoclinic syngony , space group P 2 1 / c , cell parameters a = 0.6327 nm, b = 0.8642 nm, c = 1.1313 nm, β = 92.04 °, Z = 4 [3] ;
  • triclinic syngony , space group P 1 , cell parameters a = 0.5046 nm, b = 0.5417 nm, c = 0.6354 nm, α = 70.61 °, β = 86.52 °, γ = 68.43 °, Z = 1 [4] .

It does not dissolve in water ( p PR = 35), standard and ether . Hydrolyzed in hot water.

Forms crystalline hydrate of Cu 3 (AsO 4 ) 2 • 4H 2 O composition, which loses water in the temperature range of 110-410 ° С.

Application

  • Fungicide .
