Biography, career
In 1912, he participated in the Summer Olympic Games in Stockholm , where he played from the Russian Empire as a fighter in the category up to 57 kg (featherweight). [3] [4] No prizes; dropped out in the third round of the competition [2] .
Took third place at the All-Russian Games of 1913. He was also the winner of the championship of Moscow (1915) and the championship of Russia (1918) [4] .
He played for the Riga club “I Rīgas Atlētu klubs”, worked as a coach in it. He was a member of the Latvian Weightlifting Council. He led the morning exercises on the Riga radio [4] .
After the Second World War, he was subjected to Stalinist repression . Died in exile; the place and date of death is unknown [4] .
