Bhareli (in the upper Kameng ; English Kameng , Assam. কামেং নদী ) is a river in the northeastern part of India , in the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh . One of the largest tributaries of the Brahmaputra River .

It originates in Tawang district, flowing from a glacial lake below the snow cap of Mount Gori-Chen, located on the border with China. Then it flows through West Kameng District (Arunachal Pradesh) and Sonitpur District (Assam). It falls into the Brahmaputra near the city of Tezpur [1] . The length of the river is 264 km; basin area - 11 843 km² [2] .
Forms the border between the West Kameng and East Kameng districts , as well as between the Iglenest and Sessa reserves (in the west) and the Pakke tiger reserve (in the east) [3] . The hills of Dafla are located east of the Kameng River, and the hills of Aka (the house of the people of aka ) are located to the west. The main tributaries are the Tippi, the Tenga, the Beechom and the Dirang-Chu [4] .
