Club career

Gabriel was born in Kaduna . In Nigeria, he played for Kaduna United , Enimba and Kano Pillars [2] .

On April 2, 2013, Gabriel, as a free agent, signed a contract with the Scottish Kilmarnock for three years [3] [4] [5] [6] . On November 29, 2013, he debuted for his new Scottish Cup team against Dundee United . [7]

In November 2013, Ruben demanded that Kilmarnock put him on the transfer market [8] . In January, he became a free agent after the club accepted his request. [9]

In January 2014, Ruben was watching in the English Tottenham Hotspur [10] . Nevertheless, nothing came of this, and he moved to the Belgian club “ Vasland-Beveren ”, signing a contract for a year and a half [11] .

National Team

Gabriel made his debut for the Nigeria national team in March 2010 in a match against DR Congo (5: 2). He took part in the 2010 WAFU Nations Cup.

Ruben scored his first goal on June 9, 2012, leveling the score in the away match qualifying for the 2014 World Cup against Malawi (1: 1) [12] . He was included in the list of 23 players of the national team for the African Cup of Nations 2013 [13] and the 2014 World Cup .
