Khendum choden

Khendum Choden ( born Khendum Choden ) is a Bhutanese poet and writer who was the first to receive a doctorate in the country [1] .

Biography

Khendum Choden is the daughter of a Bhutanese diplomat. She also lived in Bangladesh , India and the USA . She studied at in Thimphu , then at Humanities High School in New York , which she graduated in 2001. In 2005, she graduated from New York State University at Stony Brook , and in 2013 received her doctorate in international business and information systems from . At the University of Texas, Choden was awarded the Dodson Fellowship [2] and the Marcus Jonathan Hunt Fellowship. Dr. Choden teaches at Georgian Court University in New Jersey .

While studying at the University of Texas, Khendum Choden founded the Bhutan Student Association and was its president [3] . She also organized fundraising for victims of the 2009 Bhutan earthquake.
