Biography
Born April 28, 1915 in the city of Nizhny Novgorod in a working class family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1941. He graduated from the Gorky Industrial and Economic College. He worked as a planner at a car factory.
In 1934, drafted into the ranks of the Red Army . In 1937 he graduated from the Kharkov Military Aviation Pilot School. He participated in the liberation campaign of Soviet troops in Western Ukraine and Western Belarus in 1939. Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940.
The commander of the 58th high-speed bomber aviation regiment senior lieutenant B.P. Trifonov by February 1940 made 45 sorties in the areas of Helsinki, Vyborg, Kegsholm. In December 1939, he participated in a bold raid on the Finnish naval base on the Kotka Peninsula.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 21, 1940, for the exemplary performance of the combat missions of the command and the courage and heroism shown to this, the senior lieutenant Trifonov Boris Pavlovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal .
In the battles of World War II from June 1941. He was a squadron commander. He made 123 sorties on a diving bomber Pe-2. In 1941, he destroyed the Finnish power station on the Vuoksa River.
