Biography
He was born on October 23, 1917 in the village of Rechki, now the Belopolsky district of the Sumy region, into a peasant family. Ukrainian. Graduated from 6 classes. He worked on a collective farm.
In the Red Army since 1940. He served in the 90th Rifle Regiment in the city of Chisinau. Member of the Great Patriotic War since June 1941. He took part in the defense of Odessa, Stalingrad, forcing the Southern Bug, the Vistula, the liberation of Warsaw. He was twice wounded.
The gunner of the 123rd separate fighter-anti-tank division of the 277th rifle regiment, Junior Sergeant Mikhail Vinichenko, in battles on July 6, 1944, when 3 enemy counterattacks were repelled, partially exterminated and scattered the German machine gunners before the platoon, suppressed the enemy’s mortar battery fire. By order of August 18, 1944, "for exemplary execution of command assignments in battles against Nazi invaders," Junior Sergeant Vinichenko Mikhail Andreevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
In the battles for the outskirts of Warsaw from September 10 to 12, 1944, direct fire destroyed a machine gun point equipped in a brick house and a dugout, suppressed the fire of a German gun, 2 machine guns and shot down up to 10 enemy soldiers. He was wounded, but did not leave the battle. By order of October 25, 1944, "for exemplary execution of command assignments in battles with the Nazi invaders," Junior Sergeant Vinichenko Mikhail Andreevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
The commander of the gun crew of the 123rd separate fighter-anti-tank division of the 277th rifle regiment, sergeant Mikhail Vinnichenko, from January 15 to 18, 1945, when breaking through the enemy’s defense in the area of the city of Wloclawsk, he struck a machine gun with the calculation. Then, along with the fighters, he crossed the Vistula River, rolled the gun to the firing position and destroyed 2 wagons and 10 enemy soldiers. He was seriously wounded, but remained in service, his calculation suppressed machine gun fire and scattered the enemy infantry before platoon.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 31, 1945 “for exemplary performance of command assignments in battles against Nazi invaders”, Sergeant Vinichenko Mikhail Andreevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming the full holder of the Order of Glory.
In 1945, Sergeant M.A. Vinichenko was demobilized by disability. Member of the CPSU / CPSU since 1951. He lived in the village of Krysino, Bogodukhovsky district, Kharkov region . He worked as the head of a livestock farm on a collective farm. Last years he lived in Kharkov. He died on April 29, 1998. He was buried in cemetery number 2 in Kharkov.
He was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, Glory of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree, medals. His name is engraved on a memorial to fellow heroes in the city of Belopol.
