Biography

Born in 1914 in the village of Podgornoye. Until 1936 he worked as an accountant on the collective farm "Communism". From 1936 to 1938 he served in the Red Army. From 1942 to 1943 he participated in the Great Patriotic War. From 1944 to 1955 he was chairman of the collective farm "Free steppe".

In 1947, the collective farm “Volnaya Steppe”, led by Andrei Vasilyevich Kakurin, collected 15.7 centners of grain from each hectare, and 30.3 centners of grain were collected in separate areas. For this labor activity, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1948.
