Gilberto Ribeiro Gonçalves (Brazilian port. Gilberto Ribeiro Gonçalves ; born September 13, 1980 in Andradina ), better known as Gil, is a Brazilian footballer who spent most of his career at Corinthians . He also played for the Brazil national team .

Career
He lived in a small town, Andarina, his talent manifested itself at a very young age. He was spotted by the Corinthians scouts when he was 15 years old, and soon he joined the youth squad.
His career at Corinthians was relatively successful, Lived scored 31 goals in 124 games, a decent result for the flank forward. His speed, skill, technique, ball control and ability to beat the opponent allowed him to establish himself in the Brazilian league , but after five years with the first Corinthians team in 2005, he was sold to Tokyo Verdi from Japan .
His career in Japan was unsuccessful. He did not manage to break into the main team and did not play at full strength, which, in turn, in 2006 led to his transfer to the Brazilian team, Cruzeiro .
He did not show his best football during the Cruzeiro game. He scored only three goals in 14 matches. Nevertheless, he started most of the matches from the first minutes and became a reliable “dispatcher”, giving assists to the forwards.
A seasonal stay in Tarragona was another unsuccessful vein transfer. During his speech for Gimnastic , he played 19 matches and did not score a single goal.
In 2007, he returned to Brazil , where he played for several years for Internacional , Botafogo , and Flamengo [1] , then ended his career.
He lived playing for Brazil at the Confederations Cup 2003 , his team did not leave the group, losing in terms of additional indicators to Turkey .
