The Little Prince (cartoon)

The mother of a little girl wants her daughter to enter a prestigious academy . In order to facilitate the entry of her daughter to the academy, my mother buys a house near this educational institution, but next to this house is an old, seemingly abandoned house. Mom develops a “life plan” for her daughter and hangs it on the kitchen wall. In accordance with this plan, the girl is preparing for new entrance tests, which should take place in early autumn. While she is preparing for exams, a propeller from an airplane , which their neighbor is trying to launch from an abandoned house, is breaking through the wall of their new home. In compensation, the neighbor gives the girl a jar of coins. Counting the coins the next day, she stumbles upon a small sword and a toy Little Prince. The girl reads part of the story about the prince, which the neighbor-pilot sent her in the form of a paper airplane , and goes to visit him.

The pilot tells her the story of the Little Prince, his life and travels, and how they met in the Sahara desert . The Little Prince flies away from his asteroid because of his love for Rosa , falls on other asteroids, where he meets the Ambitious , who craves applause, the King , who pretends to rule the whole world, and Delts, buying up the stars . Then the Little Prince falls to Earth, and the first, as well as the last, whom he meets is a sand serpent . The girl likes this story, but she does not understand its end - has the Pilot left and left the Little Prince in the desert?

The pilot and the girl go riding in his old car, not having rights. They are detained by the police, so that mom finds out about the friendship of the girl and the pilot. The pilot goes to the hospital, the girl the night before the tests in a prestigious school flies on his plane in search of the Little Prince. She finds him on a planet where there are no children, only adults. The ambitious here serves as a policeman , the King as a lifter , Dealer actually bought all the stars. The little prince works there as a chimney sweep in skyscrapers. The girl helps the grown Little Prince to release the stars collected by Dealer, then break out of there and return to his asteroid. On the asteroid, the Little Prince becomes a boy again, but the asteroid itself is overgrown with baobabs , and the beloved Prince Rose has died. But she still remains with him, because only the heart can see the essence.

The next morning, the girl and her mother go to the hospital to the pilot. Following this, they are sitting on the roof, looking at the stars through a telescope, and the girl hears the floody laughter of the Little Prince and Pilot.

After the credits, there is another scene. The girl eventually still enters the academy in which she was going. In the classroom, at one of the lessons, the girl drew a hat on the blackboard and tells the rest of the children and the teacher that this is actually not a hat.

The cartoon received positive reviews from film critics. On the Rotten Tomatoes website , the film is rated 95% based on 21 reviews with an average rating of 7.2 out of 10 ^[4] .

Film critic Denis Shlyabs believes that this is “a very intelligent and non-standard cartoon that does not rely on special effects, but on mood and“ message ”... A nomination for an Oscar is guaranteed" ^[5] .
