Biography
Samoilo Reputin was born in 1914 in the village of Tachkal (now the Tyumen region of the Tyumen region ). He graduated from high school. In 1936, Reputin was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1939, he graduated from junior lieutenant courses. Since the beginning of World War II - on its fronts [1] .
By July 1943, Senior Lieutenant Samoilo Reputin commanded the battery of the 449th anti-tank artillery regiment of the 2nd fighter-anti-tank artillery brigade of the 13th Army of the Central Front . He distinguished himself during the Battle of Kursk . On July 7, 1943, the Reputin battery destroyed 15 enemy tanks in a battle west of the village of Ponyri, Kursk Region . Once surrounded, Reputin, despite being wounded, organized a circular defense , holding out until the approach of the main forces [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 7, 1943, for “exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and shown courage and heroism”, Senior Lieutenant Samoilo Reputin was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal Star ” under the number 1716 [1] .
In January 1945, Captain Samoilo Reputin was seriously injured in battles for East Prussia . He died of his wounds on January 31, 1945, was buried in a mass grave at the Tegesten station in East Prussia [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree [1] .
