Biography
Leonid Rezvykh was born on June 24, 1920 in the village of Khabazy [K 1] . From an early age, he lived first in the Krasnoyarsk Territory , then in the Kazakh SSR . After graduating from high school, he worked as a haberdasher-master in Almaty . In October 1940, Frisky was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. He graduated from the regimental school. Since November 1941 - on the fronts of World War II [2] .
By January 1945, Senior Sergeant Leonid Rezvykh commanded the department of the 206th Engineer-Battalion of the 34th Engineer-Squad Brigade of the 33rd Army of the 1st Belorussian Front . He distinguished himself during the liberation of Poland . On the night of January 13-14, 1945, the Rezvoy squad successfully completed passages in minefields and wire fences of the enemy for infantry and tanks. Only anti-tank mines they neutralized 297 anti-tank mines, due to which there was not a single case of tank explosions in the passages [2] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 27, 1945, for "exemplary performance of command missions on the front of the battle against the German invaders and shown courage and heroism", Senior Sergeant Leonid Rezvykh was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal The Star ” [2] .
After the war, Frisky was demobilized. He lived in the city of Berezovsky, Kemerovo region , worked at the mine. He died suddenly on March 28, 1959 [2] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Red Banner , World War 2 degree and the Red Star , along with a number of medals [2] .
A street was named in honor of the Frisky and a stele was installed in Berezovsky [2] .
