Creative career
Burdo's creative career as a director began with three shorts: Christmas present , Eternal idol and the end of the season . The main role in each of these films was performed by actress Brigitte Catillon .
At the Cannes Film Festival in 1998, the first full-length film by Burdo The Disappeared was presented - a political thriller and a love triangle among surrealist artists in Paris in 1938 . [3]
The second, favorably criticized film Experiences (2003), based on the novel by Ruth Rendell, The Sun for Dead Eyes (in a different translation, Landscape for a weary look ). Gregoire Colen and Julie Ordon starred. [4] [5]
In 2008, the first English-language film Hostage of Death was shot, based on the best-selling book by French writer Guillaume Musso After ... with John Malkovich and Romain Dury . [6] [7]
In 2012, Renoir's film was released, which participated in the same year in the program A Special Look at the Cannes Film Festival . [8] [9] The film tells about the forgotten story of André Madeleine, also known as Catherine Gessling , the latest model of impressionist artist Auguste Renoir , actress and first wife of his son, film director Jean Renoir . The film takes place in the south of France during the First World War . The main roles in the film were performed by Michel Bouquet , Krista There and Vincent Rothje .
