The administrative center is the village of Terekskoye .
Geography
The municipality is located in the northern part of the Terek district , on the right bank of the Terek River. The composition of the rural settlement includes two settlements.
The area of the rural settlement is 44.22 km 2 . The main part of the area is arable land and agricultural land.
It borders on the lands of municipalities: Hamidiye in the east, Novo-Khamidiye in the southeast, Harvest in the west, as well as the lands of the Mozdok district of North Ossetia in the north-east.
The rural settlement is located on the sloping Kabardian plain , in the transition from the foothill to the lowland zone of the republic. Average heights are 172 meters above sea level. The terrain is mainly a foothill undulating plain. In the north, along the valley of the Terek River, small hills stretch. In the south towers the northern slopes of the Aric Range .
The hydrographic network is represented by the Terek River, as well as the main artery of the Malokabardinsky Canal and one of its branches, Kuyan. The area is rich in spring sources.
The climate is humid and temperate with warm summers and cool winters. The average annual air temperature is about + 10.5 ° С, and varies from average + 23.2 ° С in July, to average -2.5 ° С in January. Minimum temperatures in winter rarely drop below -10 ° С, in summer maximum temperatures exceed + 35 ° С. The average annual rainfall is about 600 mm. Most precipitation falls from April to June. The main winds are north and northwest. At the end of summer, droughts are possible due to the impact of air currents emanating from the Caspian lowland .
History
The village people's council at the village of Bolatovo was founded in 1920.
In 1949, a new settlement, Maly Terek, was founded on the territory of the Terek Village Council.
In 1992, the Terek Village Council was reorganized and transformed into the Terek Village Administration.
The municipality of Terekskoye is endowed with the status of a rural settlement by the Law of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of February 27, 2005 No. 13-RZ “On the status and boundaries of municipalities in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic”.
In 2013, due to the emergency condition of residential buildings, the population of the Small Terek village was relocated to the Terekskoye village. And the settlement itself was decided to abolish [2] .
