The National Strike Committee of Belarus (Strike) is an unregistered Belarusian organization whose main task is to protect the rights of citizens (including the organization of protests against violations of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens).

The strike of entrepreneurs of Belarus has been operating since 1996 . On November 25, 2003, the National Strike Committee of Belarus was created on its basis. [1] [2]
Since its foundation, the chairman has been businessman and former political prisoner Valery Levonevsky . During his imprisonment from May 1, 2004 to May 15, 2006, the duties of the chairman of Stashcom were performed by his son Vladimir Levonevsky . [3] [4]
Protests
January 1, 2000 - a five-day strike of entrepreneurs of Belarus. About 100 thousand strikers. [5] [6]
January 31, 2000 - a rally of entrepreneurs was held in Minsk . The resolution of the rally contained not only economic, but also political demands (resignation of the Minister of Entrepreneurship) [7]
February 1, 2000 - Entrepreneurs of most of the clothing markets of Belarus launched an indefinite strike , [7] [8] which was suspended on February 12 . [9]
November 23, 2000 - a warning strike of private entrepreneurs, which was supported by more than 150 thousand people. [10] [11]
January 1, 2001 - a five-day strike of entrepreneurs of Belarus, in which about 200 thousand people took part. [12] [13]
May 8, 2001 - a nationwide political strike of entrepreneurs took place. More than 90 thousand entrepreneurs and self-employed people took part in the strike. [fourteen]
May 18, 2001 - a nationwide political strike of individual entrepreneurs was held, which was timed to coincide with the second All-Belarusian People’s Assembly taking place on that day in Minsk. [fifteen]
June 20, 2002 - a strike of entrepreneurs in the city of Grodno . All markets of Grodno did not work. [16]
July 31, 2002 - a warning one-day nationwide strike of individual entrepreneurs was held in Belarus. According to various estimates, 100-150 thousand entrepreneurs and self-employed people took part in the action. [17] [18] [19]
August 26, 2002 - a rally in defense of economic and other rights of entrepreneurs was held in the city of Minsk. More than 2,000 people attended the rally. [19] [20]
September 11, 2002 - a nationwide one-day strike of entrepreneurs of Belarus took place. About 160 thousand entrepreneurs and self-employed people from almost all cities of Belarus took part in the strike. [21]
September 12, 2002 - a nationwide action of civil disobedience is announced. The action continues today. [22]
October 1, 2002 - a nationwide strike by entrepreneurs of Belarus with the cessation of taxes and other payments to the budget. According to various estimates, 120-190 thousand entrepreneurs and self-employed people from almost all cities of Belarus take part in the strike. The strike lasted 10 days. [19] [23] [24]
December 19, 2002 - a strike of entrepreneurs in Grodno demanding the resignation of current President Lukashenko. More than 4,000 entrepreneurs supported this requirement and did not go to work. [25]
January 22, 2003 - a one-day strike of entrepreneurs in the city of Grodno. The main markets and mini-markets of the city did not work, more than 8000 people took part in this action. [26]
February 27, 2003 - The Strike Committee of Entrepreneurs, together with entrepreneurial structures, organized a rally in defense of the rights of entrepreneurs. [27]
March 12, 2003 - The Strike Committee of Entrepreneurs, together with some organizations, held the People's March “For a Better Life”. [28] [29]
April 1, 2003 - the campaign “Campaign in the Parliament”. At the beginning of this action, Valery Levonevsky was detained and arrested for 15 days. [thirty]
September 25, 2003 - a nationwide strike of entrepreneurs of Belarus. About 50% of entrepreneurs of Belarus took part in this action. [31]
May 1, 2004 - a demonstration in the center of Grodno. The number of participants is about 4 thousand people. On this day, was arrested for 15 days, and then sentenced to 2 years in prison, the chairman of the Strike Committee Valery Levonevsky [32]
May 3, 2004 - a rally of entrepreneurs on Lenin Square in Grodno, in which about 1.5 thousand entrepreneurs participated. On the same day, police in civilian clothes was detained, and then arrested for 13 days, Vladimir Levonevsky for organizing protests. [33]
Other activities
One of the activities of the Strike Committee is to help convicts. So, for example, in September 2005, Strike handed over books, sports equipment and other useful things to Ivatsevichi penal colony No. 22. [34] . Stachakom branches are being created in prisons - by March 2005, five branches were formed in five Belarusian prisons. [35]
