Edmond Alexandre Moren ( fr. Edmond Alexandre Morin ; 1824 , Le Havre - 1882 , So (O-de-Seine) ) - French illustrator; the engraver is an akvafortist and landscape painter [1] .
In his youth, he was preparing to devote himself to commerce, but, having arrived in Paris in 1846, became addicted to art and studied drawing and painting for some time with C. Glare . He posted drawings in the Journal amusant and Musée Cosmopolitique. [one]
In 1851 he went to London , where he worked for The Illustrated London News for five years, and then returned to Paris and collaborated in Le Monde illustré , Vie parisienne and some other periodicals [1] .
Since 1865, he exhibited his paintings painted in oil paints and watercolors with landscapes of northern France at the annual Parisian salons [1] .

His illustrations, the number of which generally extends to a huge figure, are decorated, for example, such works [1] :
