Cubanops andersoni (lat.) Is a species of small spiders of the genus Cubanops from the family Caponiidae . South America : Andros (island, Bahamas) ( Bahamas ). The length of the males is about 2.89 mm. The Cubanops andersoni species was first described in 2010 by Cuban zoologist Alexander Sanchez-Ruiz ( Alexander Sánchez-Ruiz ; Centro Oriental de Ecosistemas y Biodiversidad, Museo de Historia Natural “Tomás Romay”, Santiago de Cuba , Cuba ), American arachnologist Norman Platnik ( Norman I. Platnick ; p. 1951; American Museum of Natural History , Manhattan , New York , USA ) and Canadian arachnologist Nadine Dupérré . Cubanops andersoni is included in the genus Cubanops Sánchez-Ruiz, Platnick & Dupérré, 2010 along with Cubanops alayoni , Cubanops armasi , Cubanops bimini , Cubanops darlingtoni , Cubanops granpiedra , Cubanops juragua and other species. The species C. andersoni is named after Canadian biologist Robert Anderson ( Robert S. Anderson , Canadian Museum of Nature , Canada ) [1] [2] .
