Sandvikens ( Swede. Sandvikens Idrottsförening ) is a Swedish football club from the city of the same name, currently playing in Division 2 , the fourth most powerful division in Sweden. The club was founded in 1918 , home matches are held at the stadium Jernvallen , accommodating 7,000 spectators. In the top division of the Swedish championship "Sandviken", in the period from 1930 to 1961 spent a total of 20 seasons, the best of which was the 1936 season, when "Sandviken" won the bronze medal of the championship. In the Swedish Cup, the club once reached its finals in its history; in 1970, it lost to the Otdidaberg club in the final with a score of 0: 2.
