Deyan Nedelchev (born 1964) is a Bulgarian singer, pop performer and composer. The winner of the festival " Golden Orpheus " in 1993, where he sang the song "Initiation". Dejan is the only Bulgarian who signed a contract with Polygram , who released his album Grande Amore in 1997. He recorded 12 albums, most of them together with his brother Boyko .

Biography

Dejan was born in the city of Ruse in 1964. He started singing when he was 3 years old. In 1979, he won his first award - it happened at the festival for young talents in Ruse. In the early 80s, the singer collaborated with several bands as “2 +1”, “Helios” and “Heros”. Together with the ensemble of building troops, Dejan participated in the youth festival of an amusing song in Sofia. In 1989, Dejan recorded his best hit - the song "Love of Love." With this song he won the contest "Spring 1989". In 2007, “Love of Love” was selected to the class “500 best Bulgarian songs” [1] . In the early 90s, the singer’s popularity grows, he toured the USSR and participated in the Golden Orpheus festival. The Balkanton music company released the single Prayer to the World in 1990.

For some time, Dejan lived in Italy and sang at nightclubs. Also recorded an album with Italian singers Gianni Neri and Massimo Marconi . In 1993, he won the Grand Prix at the Golden Orpheus festival, performing the song “Initiation”. In 1994, Dejan received the first and second award at the same competition. Dejan Nedelchev also performed the initial song of the children's television program “Like lions” (Bulgarian. “Cato lvovete” ). In 1995, he won the second award at the Voice of Asia competition in Almaty . In 1996, together with his brother Boyko, they participated in many festivals and at the end of the year they chose a duet of the year in Bulgaria.

In 1997, Dejan signed an agreement with Polygram for 3 years. Label released his album Grande Amore. The singer toured in Egypt at various competitions and festivals. Until now, Dejan Nedelchev is the only Bulgarian who has signed an agreement with Polygram . In 2000, Dejan was awarded at a festival in North Korea . Then he sang in the groups "Art Studio Wars" and "BG Rock". In 2002, Dejan together with his brother Boyko recorded the song “From ikebana to trees it hurts” (bolg. “From ikebana to tree of pain” ). Thanks to this song, Dejan is often called the nickname "Ikebana."

Since 2003, Dejan has been living in Spain and has worked for the Bee Gees Show. In 2006 he participated in the Bulgarian Eurovision Song Contest and reached the semi-finals. In 2010, the singer recorded a new hit - "In the forest." The song became one of the most famous hits of Nedelchev. In 2012, he released his latest album - "The Old Man" (Bulgarian. "Dyrtak" ). Since the end of 2013, Dejan has been participating in the “Next Please” TV show as Maestro Ikebana.
