The total length reaches 5 cm. The head is somewhat flattened. Over the eye arc raised. The muzzle is short, pointed. The eyes are large with vertical rhombic pupils. The body is strong. The limbs are thin, but sufficiently developed. Thanks to them, this amphibian is capable of jumping up to 10.3 m. The color is brown in different shades. On the back are two wide white or beige stripes, the same strip pass on the sides.
Loves tall shrubs, tropical and subtropical rainforests. Leads a woody lifestyle. Active at night. It feeds on small invertebrates and their larvae.
This is an oviparous amphibian. The female lays up to 100 eggs in the leaves above the water. After the appearance of the tadpoles fall into the water, where they undergo metamorphosis .
It lives from Ethiopia to Tanzania (in the south) and Nigeria, the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (in the west).
