Biography
Born on November 10, 1980 in Cherkasy in the family of engineer Oleg Malkov and beginner playwright Elena Malkova (nee Turskaya). Mother had to give up thinking about a career for the sake of raising three children - Dmitry, Valeria and Daria.
At the age of 12, he received a portable video camera from his father as a gift. This gift, according to Dmitry, predetermined his vocation [2] . A few years later, on the regional television channel, he demonstrated his first documentary-game film “Kings of the Stage” about his youthful dance group.
In 1998, he entered the faculty of film, theater and TV directing at the Kiev Institute of Film and Television at the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts (KNUKiI) . He made films, took part in the filming of films of his classmates as an actor. In his third year, he shot a documentary portrait film “ Flight 21 ”, for which he received third place at the Kiev International Festival of Audio-Visual Arts. Studying in the 5th year of the film and TV directing department of the University of Culture (G. Shklyarevsky workshop), he received an award in the nomination “Hope of Television” at the festival “Velvet Season” for the documentary-portrait picture “ Self-taught ”.
From 2003 to 2009 he shot commercials, social, political videos, and music videos; starred in episodic roles in films.
Dubbing
Since 2006, tried himself in a dub. Dubbed into Ukrainian the main character of the animated film “ Catch the Wave ” by Cody Maverick, who is voiced by the American actor Shia Labaff . Duplicated the hero of Shaya Labaf in the movie " Transformers ." Later, they invited me to duplicate the main character named Hiccup in the animated film How to Train Your Dragon . And again, Shaya duplicated in the continuation of the " transformers ."
Television
In 2009, together with Active Vizhn studio, he shot the criminal series 12 Best Ukrainian Fraudsters [3] [4] . In 2010, the pilot and the first 8 episodes of the Ukrainian mystical series Mystical Stories filmed. At the invitation of his classmate, Alan Badoev takes part in the creation of the Ukrainian comedy show “ Caught in Ukraine ” together with the “Kvartal-95” studio for the Inter TV channel.
In the future, Dmitry Malkov becomes the director of several projects, including “ Caught in Ukraine ” (3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10 seasons), “ Cinderella for Baskov ”, “ Pure NEWS ”, “ Ukraine, get up ! "
Animation
In 2012, the Kvartal-95 studio offered to act as a director and creative producer of the political animated series Fairy-Tale Russia . From 2013 to 2015, Dmitry works on the series as the only creative producer. In 2015, Dmitry leads Animation Studio 95, but a year later leaves the managerial position of his own free will. During the leadership of Malkov, the animation studio publishes the updated series “Fairytale Russia”, as well as two new series “Swatics” and “Kitchen”.

Together they go through this contest. In the winter of 2018, Dmitry participates in the film pre-production. But due to creative disagreements, Dmitry and Yuri stopped cooperation on the film as agreed by the parties.
