Biography
Born on January 28, 1930 in Penezhkovo, Cherkasy region of the Ukrainian SSR.
She graduated from high school in her native village. In 1949 she moved to Kiev and joined the Khreschatikstroy construction trust.
In 1955, she headed the complex construction and installation team of the construction and installation department No. 16 of the same trust, and then the Kievgorstroy-4 trust. She worked here from 1955 to 1988, proving herself to be a highly professional specialist and a skilled organizer. An integrated team led by Varvara Turchak achieved high production results at the facilities of the city of Kiev.
After retirement she lived in Kiev.
She died on October 20, 2000, was buried in the Southern cemetery of Kiev.
Rewards
- In 1971, VD Turchak was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal.
- She was also awarded the Order of Lenin (06/03/1966), medals, including the jubilee medal "For Valiant Labor to Commemorate the Centenary of the Birth of V.I. Lenin" (1970), as well as the Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR (08/07/1965) . [one]
