History
In 1923, construction began on the MEPC (Malo-Kabardinskaya Experimental Irrigation Station), which was one of the largest hydraulic structures of the time in the USSR [2] .
Four years later, a working village was founded on its basis, which began to function as a research institution on August 20, 1927. Initially, the name of the MEP was also assigned to the working village.
In 1929, the village did not yet have a permanent population, it was administratively subordinate to the Arik Village Council, and the station workers and employees lived in the neighboring villages of Kuyan and Gofnungsfeld (now Krasnoarmeyskoe ).
Since 1930, construction began on private houses and social infrastructure facilities.
During the Great Patriotic War , in November 1942, the village was occupied by German troops, and the most valuable laboratory equipment was transported to the rear of the country. In early January 1943, the MEPC was liberated from the invaders.
In 1944, as a result of the disaggregation of the Tersky district, the village was transferred to the Urozhainensky district , as part of the Krasnoarmeysky village council .
In 1947, according to the order of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of August 1, 1947 No. 10256 , the Malo-Kabardinskaya Experimental Irrigation Station was singled out as independent in the system of research institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the RSFSR.
In 1959, the MKOOS working village was renamed Experimental and returned to the Tersky District as part of the village council.
Now Experienced merged with the villages of Krasnoarmeyskoe in the west and Kuyan in the south, and in fact they represent one settlement.
