History
Under the Han empire, the specific ownership of Pingyen (平 恩 候 国) was located in this territory; subsequently there existed the counties of Yanping (延平 县) and Pingyen (平 恩 县). Under the Yuan Empire, the county of Qiu (丘 县) was formed in 1289. Under the Qing Empire, during the reign under the motto “ Yongzheng ” in 1726, due to the practice of taboo on names due to the fact that the hieroglyph 丘 recorded the personal name Confucius , an element was added to the hieroglyph on the right.
Handan Special District (ань 专区) was established in 1949, and the county became part of it. In 1958, Quixian was annexed to Quizhou County, but restored in 1962. In 1970, Handan Special District was renamed Handan District (邯郸 地区). In June 1993, Handan County and Handan City were disbanded, and Handan City District was formed.

Notes
- ↑ In accordance with the rules of the Russian name of Chinese toponyms, if the Chinese name consists of one syllable, then the Chinese word is added to it, indicating the type of toponym ("county", "mountain", "river", etc.) so that the Russian name was at least two-fold.
